The 427

Go Like Hell

427 Road

The Build

A Potpourri of Materials

This one is all about going to the nth degree of customization to get to a fully integrated road package, all designed and built under one roof. Make it your dedicated road shredder, or stick some fat rubber under it and do it all.

I handmake my own carbon fiber airfoil-shaped seat tube, with a bespoke designed titanium seat mast and custom removable titanium front derailleur clamp. A custom surface-matched headset top cap finishes it off. Mechanical shifting ready, 1x ready, haulin' ass ready.

Built Under One Roof

Titanium seat mast clamped onto the 427's in-house carbon airfoil seat tube
01 - In-House Carbon

An Aero Seattube, and the rest to match

The airfoil-shaped seat tube is carbon fiber I lay up by hand, here, in the basement. It gets paired to Reynolds 853 and Columbus MAX everywhere the steel does a better job, plus 3D-printed 17-4 stainless at the junctions that need it.

02 - Titanium Where It Counts

Featherlight and durable as all get out

A bespoke titanium seat mast running a Ritchey 1-bolt head. A custom titanium front derailleur clamp that comes fully off when you go 1x, so there is nothing hanging out there looking lonely. Custom titanium headset topcap surface-matched to your geometry and compatible with any standard you want.

Tire clearance at the 427's carbon seat tube and rear triangle, Big Block script on the down tube
03 - Make it Yours

Rip the Road or Do-It-All

38mm of tire clearance means you can run a 30mm race tire and go KOM hunting, or stuff something fat under it and take the long way home. Mechanical shifting ready, electronic ready, 1x ready, 2x ready. T47 external bottom bracket, UDH hanger, 140mm flat mount rear. Custom paint means anything from mild to wild.
